Before the beginning

We are in possession of our set of P90X DVD's. I've ordered dumb bells for myself (8 lbs) and a chin up bar for the doorway. I've also ordered a new bathroom scale - it tracks weight, body fat percentages, hydration levels and bone density. I'm excited to see the numbers change.
There is a P90X pretest that you're supposed to take before beginning. We'll do it in the next few days as well as take measurements and before photos. I can't wait to get started.

Beginning a Journey

I thought I'd start a blog to journal about a new experience I'm going to go through. I'm calling it From Fat To Fit. I'm already well on my way to losing weight and getting fit. I've lost 33 lbs and I've been running for 2 1/2 months.

Beginning on July 1st, my husband, Todd, and I are going to being P90X. It's an intense workout program that lasts for 90 days - building muscle strength and flexibility.
Neither one of us has ever tried a program like this and I think we're both going to be blown away by how difficult and extreme these workouts are going to be. But we're pumped and excited to get started.
I want to use this blog as a way to follow our journey and update after each of the 90 days of working out. I'll track our progress as we go and our thoughts on how the program is working and what it's doing for us.
